Default Impromptu pics...my Nismo fasia.

I will get some better pics later but wanted to share a few for those interested. I haven't put the "Nissan" emblem back on yet or aquired my LED side markers but they are deffinatly next after I install the interior illumination kits.

My only gripe with the piece so far is that none of the NISMO S-tune cars seem to have the liscense plate bracket portion molded on...and I think it takes away pretty heavily from the look. I'm debating a small cover in black that would blend it in more, but for now I'm liking the over all look VERY much. The color was matched pretty much spot on. Anyway....here are a few pics I took as I left for work and when I arrived at work. Soory about the overall quality...will grab som more once I get emblem on, solve the bracket part and can spend some time scouting locations and what not......Last but not least. THANK YOU to Graham at JapanParts.com Transactions were easy, and all information exchanges were accurate and well informed. This was my first time importing anything and I having completed it with little or no headache, I'm positive I'll do it again. Hats off.

Default Nismo facia - How much

How much does something like this (a new facia) cost?

Can you get them pre-painted ?

Is the install tricky at all?

No, it didn't come painted I had to get that done at a local shop. I did get just the bumper because I will be mixing and matching pieces from other kits (have to be careful here to get a good look)

Cost is variable with the exchange rate, shipping, paint and install, document fees, customs ......all that. Get a hold of Graham at JapanParts.com, he should be able to give you a price quote and ETA assuming one of the pieces becomes available.

In my case it went like this

$780=fascia
$500=Shipping (I saved 80 dollars here by not opting for the currier service and just picked it up from the airport.)
$750=Paint and install (could be had much cheaper but the shop I chose specialises in high ends and exotics.....two 360 Modenas, a Lotus, and about 8 porsches there when I was. It is the same shop that painted Skidazzle's masterpiece)

Again, I'll get more pics later....now I to figure out which route to go on the LED side markers.

I hear ya.....I have a quote on some Volk's but I'm not sure how the offsets would effect the look verses stock...if they would move out or in (tucked) and by how much. Any ideas....?

18x8 +37 front / 18x9 +38 rear

I prefer the wheels be pushed out some towards the edge of the fender well and would be willing to wait for that ofset, but these rims are in stock so wait would be 3-5 days instead of 3 months. Anyway, I'll copy this to the wheel and tire forum...

Those offsets will push the wheels more to the inside vs the outside. Try using this tire/wheel calculator here to see exact numbers.

PS. your car looks schweet!

The 350 in Japan (FairladyZ) has an option at purchase for the illumination kits.....one kit being your standard foot well illumination that works like your interior dome light (comes on with the door ajar and dimming about 15 seconds after you close it)

the second kit......lights up an amber color that glows from under the seats like this (pic courtesy of Skidazzle)
I'll post more after I do the install.

Looks very nice. Good to see you didn't bother with those ugly side pieces.

That looks GREAT! They did a good job of matching your color, too. It's good to see what a Silverstone looks like with the Nismo front end. Congrats!

I'm seriously not a big fan of body kits, but that looks excellent- it's something different, but doesn't detract from the original style of the car. Very well done! Also, it looks like you were financially smart- it probably would have cost around the same to repair your stock bumper....

Thanks for the nice comments....

Unfortunatly, this route was much more expensive....the Stock fascia can be had from local dealerships for $230 versus $780 for the Nismo piece.....and then you still have to ship the Nismo piece to the States...another $580

All said and done, I'm glad I went this way....it's not a huge change but every time I approach the car it is easily noticable and makes a huge difference in the look.

I'll post back when I figure out what LED markers to go with....
