I got in a wreck about a month ago and when i got the car back from the body shop i noticed the side that didnt get hit, the turn signal on that headlight (passenger) works only some of the time. Sometimes it blinks and sometimes my dash will show it as blinking super fast (aka a signal to show you that the bulb is out)....i replaced the bulb myself once and even after this it works intermittently. The bulb i replaced it with i touched with my fingers so i dunno if that myth is true about oils on bulbs causing them to blow but this is the second bulb since the wreck and its working strangely. I ordered 2 more silver turn bulbs and when i get these ill be more careful using a tissue while putting them in so to make sure oils dont get on the bulb, but i think this is weird how sometimes the bulb works and sometimes it doesnt.....
If the bulb is burning out it wouldn't work sometimes and not others. Oil from your fingers is a caution when dealing with halogen and other super hot burning lamps but not the kind in your blinkers. Sounds like you've got a bad connection to the front blinker like a wire got smashed in the accident.
Do an eye-ball look around and feel each wire running to the blinker assembly between your fingers running the wire between them along as much of the length as you can get to. You're looking for an area where the wire has been pinched hard enough to cause the copper to break but still be held together by the insulation.

if it is a bad connection in the wire to the blinker in the right headlight, could this wiring be replaced or would the whole headlight assembly need to be replaced (hope not)
