I just bought 10 yards of 10.7 oz carbon fiber fabric, I plan on making smaller parts but, if I can get a plug, I'll try to make a set fenders.

gringott, I want to make a set of the heatshields like the varis ones you have on your rear bumper, any specs you can offer would be appraicated.

 

Good luck. I use to make CF parts but it was a *****! One air bubble and your fugged! Small parts with little corners are pretty basic. Its when you try and do corners and turns. Vacuum is the best and even then Ive seen my guy throw out a LOT of parts.

 

The Varis heat sheilds follow the contour of the stock bumper perfectly. I would think that if you got a junkyard bumper on ebay that it would serve the purpose perfectly. Of course mine are mounted by rivet now, but if you need some pictures etc let me know.

 

I am up for a group buy if we can get a resonable price.
Also, Cheston, you got to test fit those bad boys. You know that I caught at least one guy selling your fenders on another forum using your pictures.
