Default Targa top 350z and G35

I found a company who is currently designing a Targa top for both the 350z and the G35. The kit should be available by this spring. The company's website is below. They have already come out with a Targa for the 2005 Mustang.

Interesting...I'd love a targa top, but wow, the Mustang kit runs $3500 with a glass top! The cheapest one looks to be $2700.

Oh wow i would so love to have a targa 350Z, when ever it comes out i want to see who's first to have it and to see what it would look like. And would save me money from having to trade in for a roadster lol .

I wonder how they go about creating this targa for the Z? Won't cutting the top ruin the stifness of the chasis? And do they create a whole new top for the targa or do they use the existing top they they cut to create it and
make an attachment for it to clip on and off? very interesting. More info on this project and how serious is this to becoming the real deal?

That would be sweet. Where are they located? Obviously not something that would be sold in kit form or that you could just run over to your local body shop to have installed...

Holy awful web-design Batman!

Making the stock roof into a targa would seriously impact the stiffness of the chasis.

With plenty of Reserch & Development I'd consider it if it looked like this above

I would really like to keep this Targa project updated to really see how far it goes, and to see if it can actually be done!

The Z chassis isn't too dependant on the roof...most of it is just sheet metal and plastic. The rear strutbar holds more probably.
