Default Wear marks on paint from Hatch Seal

Does anyone else notice wear marks in the paint where the hatch seal makes contact with the paint. My Z only has 4500 miles on it and I can see the paint looks scuffed in that area. Im worried that the paint will eventually wear through. Just wondering what people who have had there car longer have experienced.

I have 48,000+ on my '03 and haven't noticed any wear there.

I have wear there. It's because grit can get trapped under the rubber seal, then as you go down the road, the pressure changes make the hatch vibrate and rub that grit in. Same for under the hood seal.

It would probably take several hundred thousand miles to wear through though. Waxing that area would proabably prevent any further wear if you're still concerned.
