Here are some preliminary pics of the first prototype rear diffuser made by Zillinois. It follows the lines of the stock exhaust and hopefully will close off the gap left from aftermarket exhausts pretty well. The front of it bolts to the differential cover and the back attaches to the bumper. This is the first of probably a few test pieces. I will be doing the initial test fit pretty soon once I get my car back from VRT next week. I want to send a HUGE thank you to Zillinois for making these, he is definately a smart guy and an awesome member of the 350Z community!
Looks very nice. Wonder which exhausts this will work with.
It will not be for one particular exhaust, but hopefully pretty close with all dual exhausts. I am running the new SVRTechnologies 3" dual so it will probably end up perfect for that exhaust .
good design... but be carefull on mounting to the rear bumper (at least the stock one) this is a picture of the one i made of carbon and the force it created tore the lower bumper supports and the bumper started flapping. mabey think of a way to reinforce it somehow. just FYI
it's for cars that have replaced their stock muffler with something that doesn't entirely fill up that void.. what happens is, the air goes up into the void and get's caught behind the bumper causing excess drag..
