The Z stock actually has a really really low drag coeficient, especially the track model. Nissan put a lot of research into it and thats why the stock muffler sits the way it does. Esentially the stock muffler is your diffuser with the way it is shaped and positioned. If there were any slight benifit on using this with the stock muffler, it would be hard to justify the cost, unless you were going for pure looks.
If you are putting these custom diffusers on, you should also consider buying the two OEM Track diffusers.. They go into the back just behind the wheel well and as far as I can tell it covers the opening that's there on non-track model Z's to further reduce drag..

There would certainly be a market for these if you were to make em and sell em. Or powdercoat them.
Plenty of people have exhaust that leave that open space. My question is whether this would work with the stock exhaust, cause I think my (as well as some other folks') Amuse exhaust matches that size.

Well I have to find a way to secure the rear of the diffuser as my bumper is warped and leaves a gap when I mount it where Geoff (Zillinois) intended it to mount.
A better way to attach it is to use the actual metal rear bumper or something along that line. You'd just have to figure out where you want to attach it, then fab some mounting brackets using some aluminum strips. That way you don't have to worry about f'ing up your rear bumper cover.
Oh, I just thought of some other stuff we need. A front pan extension to about the transmission area and a flat bottom section for the middle of the car up to the differential for the full length effect. Of course, it will need NACA ducts or the like for transmission and differential cooling, as well as ducts for the read brakes.
