I don't think luxury is how this car is supposed to look though. Its supposed to be sporty. Thats why the Z is a sports car and not a sport sedan or a luxury sports car. Also my dads mercedes didn't have seats like that and its definitely the most luxurious car ever made.

You're right, luxury is not how this car was supposed to look, that's what the G35 is for. But, if I am going to buy aftermarket leathers and I prefer luxury look, then that's what I'll do. You don't have to. My dad's Mercedes was/isn't poofy like that, neither was/is my mom's.

BMW, the competitor to Merc, has some poof in their leather, and that is where I get my liking for it from. I worked at a BMW dealer for a while. Driving the BMWs back from the auction, they are luxurious, too... and sporty. It's this combination that I liked. And the poof in the leather reminds me of that.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I picked up my Performance 6mt Silverstone on Valentines Day. The dealership I bought from dealt with Classictrim. I wanted to get the Burnt orange and was told they could not get that color. I talked personally with the head guy at CT and he told me that Nissan had told them that the Burnt Orange was not popular and they could not authorize it as an "official" aftermarket color. Customers were having the Burnt orange in some of the factory installs taken out so they could sell the cars. I can't imagine. I'm sure this was B.S. to try to sell me on something they could provide. I went with charcoal grey and it's very nice. Safe but nice. But I would have loved the orange. It looks so good with the Silverstone. I think the katskin orange in your car looks fabulous. I wish I knew about them before making my decision. I do however agree that the quality of the Classictrim and the installation is great. Just 400 more miles and I'll be over the breakin period. Vroom, vroom.
Later,
Oz

Personally, I'd be really upset if my leather came out that puffy. I think what the dealer told you is bull.

Here look at Skidazzles leather install. Looks good and TIGHT. Looks great!!

well I know for a fact that Kats are a bit puffy right after you put them on but tighten up after a couple weeks of sitting in them and letting them conform down into the seat cushions. BTW are those Kats on Skdazzles?

No it's not just you! I think stock leather looks much better.

ROTFL!!!

That's probably the biggiest pile of ******** from the dealer ever mentioned on this site.

If dealers would have a contest on who can come with best BS, that guy will defenetely win.

I think I want to get the Orange from katzkins on my SilverStone. I want it to look as tight as Skidazzles seats though. I love the two-tone, but I think the Orange beats it.

Whats are your opinions?

you know, i had my orange leather installed about a month and a half ago and when i saw it i was pretty dissapointed with how puffy it looked, but now it seems more "fit" to the seat. i guess time is a factor in determining how well these aftermarket seat wraps look, but i still see the stock burnt orange and it looks so thin and tight...but it was free so i cant complain i guess.
i'll take pics during lunch and drop em here
