Doesn't sound like your friend knows what he's doing...never mess with the yellow wire.

I would definetly take it to the dealer and have him pay for it. You don't want to mess with installing an air bag.

Looks like I'll be having a certified shop put my HU in... Sucks to try to save a buck to only spend 2x as much. GL
