Ok i need a little help my friend that works at an audio shop 30 mins away has my car, because he has been installing my cd player, highs, and alarm. I get a call from him and he tells me he has bad news he lets me know and I think hes just playin but hes not my DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG EXPLODED!!! while he was installing my alarm. What do I do now? Should I try to go to the dealership and see how much a new steering wheel will cost to install or should I try to find an aftermarket wheel? Where would I find either one for a good price? What sucks is that this is my good friend so even though I'm pissed I don't want to seem like a jackass, but he apologized and stated he would pay for the replacement of my choice, I Need Some Help ASAP thanks

Sorry to hear that. But an aftermarket airbag? Are you kidding me? There's a reason why they aren't sold aftermarket. Please call your Nissan dealership ASAP.
You might also want to remind your friend to avoid going by "trial-and-error" when crossing wires in a car. Audio shops have (or SHOULD always have) wiring diagrams of all cars. Had someone been sitting in the driver's seat when the bag exploded, you would've had A LOT more to worry about. Time to count your blessings, and those of your friend!

There is actually a Group Buy on the both of the JDM Momo Factory Option Steering Wheel WITH airbag that is $725. Granted, they estimate that it will be at least a month before they come in but if you are intent on replacing your airbag then this seems like a "no brainer". BTW, as far as the group buy I do not know the person putting it together but a couple of people on the board have vouched for him.
Here is a picture of the airbag
Not possitive ---But u my have to replace the Clock Spring behind the airbag --I know u do when u wreck but weather it wipes it out on a screw up like this,,,,Im not sure. Sorry ---If so ---nother 400.00. Im am sure your Bud will read up a little on airbag deactivation. Good Luck
