Not true. If that were the case...then ALL "wheels" and "tires" and "roofs" and "hoods" would be "replicas".
Here Alex...I did the work for you and looked it up in the dictionary.
replica
Main Entry: rep·li·ca
Pronunciation: 're-pli-k&
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian, repetition, from replicare to repeat, from Late Latin, from Latin, to fold back -- more at REPLY
1 : an exact reproduction (as of a painting) executed by the original artist <a replica of this was painted... this year -- Constance Strachey>
2 : a copy exact in all details <DNA makes a replica of itself> <sailed a replica of the Viking ship>; broadly : COPY <this faithful, pathetic replica of a Midwestern suburb --

copy an idea from other car for Z still consider steeling idea, hence, still consider replica..haha..
Uh... Read the post above, and go back to school to learn the difference between a "replica" and an idea for a product. Like boogiemyke said, if that were the case then everything would be a "replica" because obviously the 350z wasn't the first car ever made.
there a different in PRICE.
Please stick to the topic of this thread, if you want to keep thinking you got such a wonderful deal with your two dollar body kit go back to your thread and boast all you want. Different in price is also difference in quality

geez bubble, talk about going off topic! We don't need another thread for your and boogiemyke to flame each other.
And by your logic, the 350z is a replica of a neon, since the neon came out first, and they both have 4 wheels and an engine.
To stay on topic, I think the diffusor idea is cool, but to make one that fits even a majority of the exhausts i think would be difficult.

I'm not being nice Alex. I'm just pointing out your ignorance.
I wish I could be as cool as you and put down everything anyone does that isn't what you want. I'm not "following you" around either. I happened upon this thread due to interest in what others are doing for the Z as well. Unfortunately, you did the same. You also posted more of your ignorance, so I took the opportunity to point it out and correct you as well.
By the way...once again...the problem with you is your arrogance. Say what you want about the Zignalz. It doesn't bother me a bit.
Back on topic:
I think people would jump all over this diffuser. As long as it's able to fit a good variety of exhausts...it'll do pretty good. Lot's of R&D will need to be sunk into it though, so plan on spending some money. That's the unfortunate down-side to developing something "original". Then, unfortunately, you'll have to deal with the people that come and "replicate" all the work that you've done and sell it for less because they don't have all the R&D money tied-up into getting it out.
I wish you luck Wicked. It's a great idea you've got here.

I reckon it would be really cool. Even if you had to make recesses in it for a dual exhaust, it wouldn't be too hard. I think replicas are great as long as they are good if not better quality that the originals. Give overpriced manufacturers a run for there money, and give the small time folk a chance to make it in this industry.
