I have concidered doing this, have a couple of books on it, but unless I want to do it again, I am not sure its cost effective.
Seems a decent paint gun is $500+ you spend a bit on paint, and you need a good place to paint the car. Most of us, do not have cross flow paint booths, thought sometimes places will let you rent some space for a short time. Once you add it all up, unless you have muiltple cars that you want to repaint and do some nice work on, it may be cheaper to have a shop just do it for you.
