My foot rest fell off too. This car is shoddy construction. My girlfriends pathfinder is the same way. I've lost TONS of respect for nissan build quality lately. I've owned 5 nissans in my life. I think I'm done w/ nissan after this. I love the Z, but if it didn't looks so good and perform so well I would be completely unhappy with this car.

I unbolted the stock shocks and then had to cut them off the harnesses that connect to the hatch and body since they are pressure fitted. Took care of that with a hack saw. I bought some new stronger shocks from O'rilies (like Auto Zone) and fit them over the tock harnesses. I reinstalled them and it works great now. New shocks ran $50 for the pair. Much less than the $250+ for the Nismo ones.

Thumbs down

I went to the dry cleaners today and forgot to hold the hatch when I was putting the clothes in my car. Fooking goddamn thing knocked me into my trunk.

The family in the minivan next to me thought it was hilarious.
