Anyone has a hood lock on their Z? What does everyone think about the hood lock?
Thx.

So far I have seem the one with a lock inside the front bumper, or under the dash, or on the hood.

Default hood lock...not hood pin

I have the same question. Looking for a hood lock, not hood pins. I have seen them before on some exotic cars where the lock is set up around the hood latch so it is not visible.

Anyone seen a hood lock (not hood pin) or know where to purchase one?

How exactly can you see the hood latch on this car without the hood being open in the first place? The release is inside the car, which is lockable by the way.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I know the release is inside of the car which is lockable. I have seen a supplemental lock that is added around the hood latch on exotic cars that requires a lock to open the hood. The idea is, if someone breaks in your car, they pop the hood release from inside, they cannot access the engine bay, as they then need to get by the lock on the hood latch.

No I am not thinking of hood pins. What I am talking about is a mechanism that is either located in the hood latch (once you have popped the hood from inside and you have to stick your finger to release the latch...there is a secondary lock located there at the front of the engine bay) or in the alternative which I have never seen but I have heard, is a lock that is placed under the dash by the hood release (inside the car).

why would you want this? Are you afraid that someone is going to bust into your car, then pop your hood, then steal your turbonator?

How did you know that was my motive? Of course I have to protect my turbonator. I only cherish it because you said that it was your most important mod and that you are over 500 hp because of it
