The best way, IMO, is to have a local body shop mix up a 20% Black, 80% clear mix and paint the lights until they are as dark as you would like. That's how I did had mine done by Boogiemyke. The tails are now shine more than my paint.

1. you take out the taillights and sand it.
2. put a spray on the surface.
3. sand it again to get rid of scratchs.

Let's not even get into all that stuff man. I've read all about the clash you and boogey had about your headlights. I didn't post that info up for you, but for the original thread starter. Personally, boogey painted my tails and my center console. BOTH, of which came out awesome.

Your tails do look pretty shiny tho. Nice job.

On a side note, want some pics of my ppw for the gallery? You might even want to start a lighting section? Interior conversion pics galore, I have.

I wouldn't say my Overlays are dull. Semi Gloss is more like it . I've actually buffed mine with wax and it brought out alittle more gloss .

I will update it soon with new exterior pics. I haven't been able to take new ones since the exhaust and different wheels.

Overlays look good in pictures.. up close i have been less than impressed. I know of 3 people who have switched to spray on tint from overlays and were much happier. The biggest problems are bubbles in the vinyl and the overlay not covering the light completely(small gaps)

how long does it take to get them tinted, how hard is it to get the covers off, and does anyone have pics with them tinted (shiny) on the cars?

no waiting. They will send you the tint headlight, you send back your unit.
