for a real one ... yes

Replicas (great quality) are in the $400 range.

Both kits look great. Depends on what you're taste and budget is.

Back on topic.

I love both the USDM and JDM Nismo kits. But every time I've seen a JDM kit in person, it didn't seem to fit as well as the USDM kit. Maybe it's only on the few cars I've seen it on...but the fit just wasn't as factory-like. So for the money, I'm not sure if the JDM is worth it....of course people usually want it just because it's more rare.

I've seen exactly the opposite, check this POS USDM fitment (figure 1) vs. JDM (figure 2)

Simply put, the USDM kit is just that ... bulgy, gaudy and all-together just and overdone JDM one ... perfect for the US market.

It simply looks like a body kit. The above picture perfectly illustrates the JDM kit resembling something that "could" be part of the car .. the USDM kit looks 100% add-on.

JDM kits fir quite nicely .. it is the replicas (that people claim to be real) that don't fit well.

im picking up my JDM Nismo kitted Z today and the bodyshop commented the FRP was the best quality and fit he's seen. He originally quoted me almost double the labour time to prep the kit given the other Jap brands he's worked on. It only needed filling around the extreme edges, like where the bumper tucks in under the bonnet on the edge of the headlight, and on the skirts where it sits inside the guards. He said Nismo had touched up and sanded alot of areas themself like around the headlight opening

will soon see what it looks like.......i went bumper and skirts only

Gentlemen, I retract my statements about the fitment...but I have seen multiple USDM kits that have an really, really nice fit...but the JDM one's that I have seen (not replicas) don't seen to sync up to the bottom of the quarter panels & front fenders very well. It could easily be the installer I guess?

The real question for you JDM wh*res out there is....if the JDM kit looked like the USDM kit, and the USDM kit looked like the JDM kit....would you all be arguing how the US kit is a waste of money and is too subtle for a body kit, etc? I think people are just more drawn to what is more rare and expensive just to impress others.

I love both kits, but I think the JDM kit is extremely overpriced for what you get.

the JDM kit is a full bumper, so there is the price difference.

i went JDM because its more subtle, and i really hate tacky front lip add ons. Plus those big soft curved bubbled skirts just dont flow with the sharp edged panels on the car

hbenet, i picked up the car, gave it a quick light cut by hand and will take some pics soon, prob wait till i fit the Ganador mirrors before posting. Man it looks so f'ing good in black, especially now with the 06 bi-xenons. The rubber lip add-on makes it sit very very low.

I gotta fit my plate and clear led sidemarkers tomorrow. I got some Blitz eyelids painted up too, gotta dry fit those to see how they look. Looks like itll be the only black genuine JDM Nismo Z on the board

I agree with this 100%. I think the USDM Nismo kit is plain ugly, whereas the JDM kit looks very natural on the Z. Everything has to be Americanized...
