Well once my kit components get ordered i wanted to repaint the whole car since I will at that point have a car made of 4 different paint times. I will more than likely be adding a unpainted hood, rear bumper, and spoiler to replace some existing spots and smoothing out the rear wiper hole and the front bumper ( rock dents etc ). Keeping the color the same ( redline ) so don't know if that means squat. I'm assuming the whole body but im not a paint expert maybe its overkill but assuming that what type of cost am i looking at? No engine bay or trunk interior just the shell of the car.

probably somewhere in that range at a reputable shop, you should have a pearl sprayed in while you have them doing the whole car though! I had a buddy with a red GTI that he added a blue pearl to... course it made the car look pink/purple but it was still cool looking:-p
