does this replace the roof, or does it go ontop.. for installation it says double sided tape, so i was curious...

 

if it says double sided tape, then I would think it goes over it? It would have to be VERY thin so it doesnt look like crap when you put it on.

 

that and the tape would have to be REALLY REALLY STRONG, or that **** would fly off. lol. i call rice on it.

 

3m double sided tape is VERY strong. Its what is used on most oem lip spoilers. The oe z spoiler uses it, with the addition of two small screws. I have my stillen wing on with two small screws and 3m double sided tape. Ive gone upto 140mph without my wing flying off. lol

 

That costs as much as a hood. Ridiculous.

 

The CF roof is an overlay... paint the top of the car flat back and then adhere the panel to the car...

the CF roof panel is adhered with an epoxy and then the edges are either filed with body filler and painted or you can use pinstriping over the edge, since the panel is actually about 1/8 of an inch think.

One thing about it is if you want to do a full carbon roof, you will have to get carbon fenders or do an overlay on the fenders becuase of the hood shape...

I'll post some pics of the Injected Performance Stroker in a bit... and you can see what we had to deal with when we did it to that car....
