I put the plate on my dash so it shows through the windshield. Some of the really **** cops will still give you a ticket because its "too high."

in ny its illegal howver im only pulled over during the bogus seatbelt stops around labor day or memorial day.
and even then its only a 50 dollar fine .

which ive gotton out of both occasions by simply putting the plate on with tape.
taking a photo and pleading not guilty saying it fell off

it always works

BRONXWARRIOR, that's good. If I get a ticket I'll use that tactic. But so far, they've left me alone. No plate on the front, I don't even keep it in the car.

knock on wood....me too. I mean, it's in the car - it's in the compartment behind the passenger seat, but since i've had the car 6 months now, i can't really use the excuse that i'm "going to get it put on tomorrow..." But, no problems yet.

I have no plate in front either, and have had no problems yet. I keep it in the compartment behind the passenger. I will NEVER put the front plate on. I think it's a $40 ticket.

I have over 11,000 miles and have not received one ticket yet for no plate. And I've been pulled over a couple of times. They didn't even notice... What I use to tell the cops(with my previous cars)was that I am waiting for the bracket from the dealer to mount the plate but its on back order. The only problem now is that my STUPID dealer drilled the holes already so I don't think I can use that excuse.....
