My friend who purchased a 2004 C class benz without the light blue tint wanted to tint her windows, but was told that the glass is built that way. So, in other words...you can't get that tint.

You CAN get that tint, it is just a very light blue film. I actually put it on my side mirrors like the Audi's have. If you want I can post pics later..

I've been wanting to do that b/c the Z's mirrors catch so much glare from headlights on other cars. Where did you get the blue film? I have looked around but I don't want a whole roll of it since it's just for the two outside mirrors.

I like to see that as well...as we have already tried contacting several tint installers and no one can duplicate the benz light blue tint.
thats weird, they can do mirror tint and ive seen different colors before, dont see why they cant do it. gonna stop by a local place on saturday and see what they say. hopefully its not an outrageous amount just cause its different

contacted almost a dozen tinters about it and they all say you cant get it, its in the glass... you can probably get something close in blue film but it wont look as good as MB

I think that it would just look like trying to be a poser. Leave the blue for the Benzes. I highly doubt it will come out looking right. Would just look cheesy IMO. All the new Benzes including the C class I have seen have the blue glass.

I know the C-class has it for sure but the SL's and S's don't have it.
Wouldn't they use the same glass company though? Well automotive glass itself has a layer of plastic I think in between two pieces of glass. If benz changed the color of the plastic, we cannot get the same hue/color if we tint it.
