I have 5% all around I dont see why you shouldnt get it dark cause its the same price no matter how dark it is, its jus the film you pay for so I figured if you get a fixit ticket for light tint (i.e. 20% which isnt dark at all) you might as well get it for 5% since its the same price and it makes the car look better with it darker IMO

imo, dark tint looks ghetto. most of the time 5% is on rusted out cars.
take a look at 35% for the fronts and 20% in the rear. imo, its a cleaner look. I got 35% fronts, 5% rear windows, 20% back window. can't be happier.

personally..i don't really like the light tint in front n dark tint in back method, but thats just me

keep in mind also that if you have a dark interior, the tint will turn out darker than if you had a light interior. (i.e. 20% on a dark interior will look like 15% n on a light interior, will look like 25%) <- random estimate

i'm not sure if it's the size and/or the way light hits, but the rears look darker than the front using the same tint. I got 20% all around and it looks kinda like 20 in front and 10 in back. i've seen a few other Zs with the same issue. just something you may want to keep in mind if you go stagger front and back.

And your insurance company. Darken windows could be a factor in an accident and if it means they don't pay out large medical payments they might just invest the time of their legal team to argue.

I'll probably go with 20% more than likely because I have 50% now and it SUCKS. 50% is pointless and 35% is just a more noticeable tint imo. 20% to me isn't too dark but still leaves reasonable visibility. I had 35% platinum with 20% behind that on my Prelude and could see pretty good and it definitely kept a lot of sunlight and looks awesome.

damn man alot of people have a hard time with visibility, in my old car (325i) I had 5% all around and in that car it was hard for me to see and it was a sedan, I guess I either have really good eye sight or im not sure, cause I dont ever have a problem with it in my Z

LeMans: try getting a higher quality tint. The quantums are very bright from the inside no matter how dark it is.

My girls accord has 20% all around and I don't like the driving at night because it blocks alot of view.
So I think i will go with 55% front, 20% lil sides and 35% rear. Do you have any pix of your car. I'd like to see how yours looks.
