Default Looking for 350Z Rear Carbon Fiber Quarter Panels --Please Help--

Can someone please help. About a month ago I saw Rear Carbon Fiber Quarter Panels on Ebay. They were on their for only a short time and I never saw them again. They were a full rear quarter, not an overlay. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for the help, but I am looking for the rear quarters, not the fenders. I appreciate your time though.

How can it be a CF quarter panel. The quarter panel is part of the unit body.

It doesn't make sense.

The rear quarter can be cut off and have a CF one bonded to it, similar to how they cut and weld in a new metal one when your in a crash, but without the weld. If they were true Dry carbon like the JGTC cars, I would say go for it, but most likely they were a CF over fiberglass overlay which would offer no structural rigidity what so ever and actually add weight.

It was not an overlay that I saw. I do agree with you on the unit body, but all quarters are spot welded on the the structure of the underbody and can be replaced. I have searched the net and I have not found another. It might have just been a prototype. Cutting it out would be a pain though.

In reply to JET, a unit body structure contains an Underbody which is your motor compartment, dash, floor, and rear tub combined in one structure. Then there is a RH and LH Sidemember that is welded to each side of the UB ie. your door structures and quarters, then you have the roof section. After all of these are welded together then you get the Shellbody placed on the full structure. These are the doors, hood, fenders, and the hatch. Hope this explains that even though you receive one full structure when the body is complete, parts can be seperated. If you wrecked your car and were hit in the rear quarter, the repair shop would order you a Service Part rear quarter to replace the one on your car, not replace your whole body.
