the rattle inside the dash/instrument cluster could be fixed. i took mine in before the bumper to bumper warranty ran out.

 

I am going in for warranty soon, my trans grinds in 3rd/5th and makes a grinding noise when the clutch is not engaged. So I guess I could have them look for my rattles while there at it!

 

Trust me, if you play your subs loud, your whole chassis vibrates, and eventually it gets to all the nitty gritty bits where you cant see, and then begins the process of anoying the *** out of you. Try just playing your subs at an averagely loud level, and close the doors and put your hands on you bonet, then tell me the whole car doesn't vibrate.

 

I dont have my subs set very high. I like to hear more than just base! The only time the base goes up is when the woman is messing with it.

 

i also have rattle...its the little vent on my drivers side to the left of the steering wheel...not the ac vent its the tiny one with 3 bars across it and when i push down on them when driving itll stop untill i lift my finger...only starts when i accererate...pretty much always...its so annoying...any one have the same

 

anyone have rattle under and around the Homelink Rearview mirror. infact i know theres some service writeup about that somewhere on this website...and my passenger side mirror rattles too......untill it broke off when my dad reversed into the garage! i need a passenger side rear view mirror, if anyone has one,Pleeeez pm me.....haha nissan quoted me at 516!!!

 

i hunted down my rattles this weekend. come to find out it was my sub box. everytime the speakers hit air would escape from around where the speakers mount to the box. i took the speakers out and added some foam insulate around where the speaker meets the box. problem solved.

 

My sub rattles a bit to but I cannot hear it in the front of the car. I will have to do the same to my sub, it is just screwed to the box as well.

 

3.00 buck at home depot. i think they call it weather striping. it's use to outline doors.

 

I had a BMW with over 100k that didn't have any rattles. Traded it in on my 350Z which is soo annoying. I only have a stock sub, but that isn't the problem. It's the dash. It doesn't rattle in the summertime, but the winter time sucks. The ol' expansion of the molecules. Not to mention my 3 trannys, window motor, and Bose stereo that have all be replaced before 20k.

 

3 trannys??? I need to get in for mine, I have just been putting it off, my Z is my daily.....

 

How funny!!! I got a 03 track lemans too and it rattles all over the place, my friends $14,000 corolla is much more quiet and smoother.... But I guess its a sports car, so it is bound to make noises. Plus its 3yrs old!!!!!!
