2005 and 2006 headlights direct swap ?
Hi,
I like the design of the 2006+ headlights and i'm leaning towards getting a pair of them. My car is 2004.5 touring w/ stock HIDs. Are the 2006 headlights direct swap for my car or do i need to get the 2006 HID equipment too?

The 06' head lights use the HID's for hi beams right? Does this mean that the hi beams still work even if you swap the new head light into the older Z? I guess you just tie up your hi beam harness upon install and dont use them with these lights? Any info is appreciated.

yes. they are low and high beam HID
i think all i rememebred seeing is one 8 pin (correct me if i wrong on the pin #) plug. a buddy of mine at the dealer helped me put them in. im pretty sure all we did was unplug and plug the one harness on each side
now the 2006 taillights use one harness where the 2003-05 have two. when i switched those i taped the other harness off and didnt use it

yeah i had to. you might could pop the tabs out from under the hood and the 2 screws behind the fender liner and slide the bumper down. but if your gonna do all that you might as well just take it off
