Movement in Dead Pedal / Foot Rest
So driving home this afternoon, I guess I put a little bit too much weight on the Dead Pedal / Foot Rest after taking my foot off the clutch and it made a rather loud click sounding noise (not the clutch). So I get home, everything looks fine, but the Dead Pedal / Foot Rest has a little bit of give moving it to the left/right...is this normal?
I just got the car a week ago and dont want to have already broken something in it...
I love my Z, and really want to get the aluminum set off of e-pay
maybe this would be a good excuse

Have you or anybody else (dealership) removed the pedal for any reason. The plastic "nuts" that are built into it get ruined once you pull the pedal off once or twice. Once that happens, the pedal feels loose. The really bad news is that you can't buy the plastic nuts/locks, you have to buy the whole pedal kit.

not that im aware of, I cant notice the movement when Im driving. The movement was only when i got closer to the pedals for an inspection and moved it with my hand. I guess this really is a good excuse to buy the whole aluminum set, I hate having black pedals.
