Clear headlights are in. Pics and Review.
I received my clear diffusers last week from Rick's Accessories. I was apprehensive about doing the install myself due to baking and unsealing the headlamp. The actual removal of the headlamp from the car is half the battle imo. Don't let baking the headlamps in the oven intimidate you, it is not difficult. There are a few things to be aware of and if you stick to the directions provided by Rick's, you should be fine. Here is what I learned from doing the install that may help those of you considering doing this yourself.
You will want to get some mechanics’ gloves. Handling a 250 degree piece of plastic with your bare hands is not fun. You will also need to have some hand dexterity while separating the rear housing from the clear front. While the headlamp is being separated, silicon tends to stick to the gloves and it is difficult to keep it off of the inside of the headlight. If you get some silicon on the inside, don't worry it will come off with some goo gone.
Make sure to use several micro fiber towels. If dust, debris, hair, fingerprints or anything gets inside the headlight without you noticing it you will be SOL once the lamp is sealed up again.
Sealing the headlight back up is probably the easiest part of the installation. I have seen some concern in other posts about getting the headlight to seal back up properly. Some of you may or may not know this, but the headlights were never sealed to begin with. There is a small vent on the backside of the assembly; I have also had this confirmed by a Nissan Tech. I used some silicon adhesive to help with the resealing however I really feel like it would have been fine without it. There should be enough silicon left over to gain a legitimate seal.
Pop the lights back in, throw your front bumper on and you are ready for action.

I prefer the '05 that way you can get all the amber out. I thought the overall effect was dramatic. If you already have the 05's clear them out. Worst case scenario if you screw them up or don't like the way they look, you can buy the 06 lights.
