Default Does anyone have these Headlights?

I saw these on ebay... pretty affordable, black housed headlights.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...23422466QQrdZ1

I was thinking about picking up a set and was wondering if anyone has them or knows if they will fit fine with the OEM HID's on my 2003 touring model.

Does anyone know of anywhere to buy something like these headlights but with a clear reflector already in place?

Thanks!!

My only problem with mr. zipps is that i have to send my stock headlights on my daily driver out to him... i.e. cant do it.

These are an affordable alternative and it gives you an extra set of headlights incase you needed to go back to stock or something.

I just want to know if they will work with my HID's..... anyone??

1. there is nothing JDM about them
2. they are not projectors
3. your HID will probably work, but the HID housing is different than the standard one as I recall

4. I bet if you went to a local meet, there are people in your area who can paint your lights, or contact some like esseteeye on here - with careful planning and overnight fedex, you wouldnt be without the lights for more than 2 days

I wouldn't trust aftermarket headlights on ebay. I have heard stories about them not being sealed correctly and water getting in. Also the projector is set up for halogen so when you install HIDs you wont get the same light output and you will need to cut the bottom of the housing to attach the ballast.

Send me a PM or email to Dan@MrZipps.com. My turnaround time is 1 day for painted and cleared headlights. So if you overnight it on Monday, I get them Tues and ship out Weds. You get them Thursday.

Thanks
Dan

How do you tell they arent projectors? They look very similar to the factory set up... housing wise... Also if you dont mind humoring me, how is the HID housing different from the halogen ones?

Also, I know JDM is the COOLEST, lol, but just because something ISNT JDM doesnt mean it doesnt look good.

1. You can by simply by looking at the pics. They call them projectors. The pics clearly show a lense arrangement like the 03-05 non HID headlights, which are also not projectors. So, that's BS claim #1. Heck, even the 2003-2005 HID lights are not reflectors from Nissan, so there certainly no way that a $200 set of ebay lights are.

2. the description called them JDM, not me. Actually, no they deleted that part of the description out...go figure.

Why take the chance? You've got perfectly good lights on your car now. A couple days downtime and you'll have the same good lights on your car, blacked out. Seems a much safer option than taking a chance on something

You can't beat that service! If I ever get some 06 headlights, I know I would send it to get worked on because I did my last pair myself and it is a real PITA

I wish I could afford some 06 headlights... those looks awesome.

Actually I would send mine to mr. zipps i think, but when I say daily driver I mean I would really not have a car to drive around for those 3-4 days durring shipping, working on, shipping time.

Z1 - if the 03-05 HIDs arent projectors and these arent projectors, then I dont really mind that they SAY projectors so long as im getting the same thing. Basically these headlights I wouldnt be too afrain to bake and then open and re-seal if I needed to because they are much less expensive. I was just curious if my HID's would work with them. Actually if I ended up buying these, which I probably wont, I would probably bake them and open them up to put a smoked strip in anyway and then re seal them. The added bonus is that I would have my stock housings as back up incase something ever went wrong with these.

I just LOVE what Mr.Zipps has done to the black 06 lights! I have been thinking ever since the 06 headlights came out that they could be completly color matched as they are both high and low beam Xenon through the same central lens (no chromy reflector at all!).

If i am able to get hold of some 06 headlights for a resonable price ill send them right over to Mr.Zipps for a redline color match job in an instant!

/Roger
