I had them on my CF hood and stock hood. I had my hood up and down more then anyone would want to have it. I had NO problems. Again I bet I had it up and down about 100 times.

hey Ron...I got a question for you. I just received my hood dampers...and is it supposed to go in and out like a hydraulic? I can't seem to push it in or pull the shocks out...

hehe, i tried the same....you'll need to put one side on the floor and hold the other with both hands and really push down. it will eventually give way and will compress.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to confirm that these TopSecret hood dampers are lightweight for light hoods?
Are they any better than the NRG (I realize they are much more expensive)?

I have the carbon NRG ones and they're perfect for my VS2...I was told when I bought them that there were ones for oem hoods and diff lower compression ones for carbon hoods...at least thats what the guy told me.

The Top Secret ones were perfect when I used the Seibon TS Hood. The quality of the part is top notch though, but I suppose that is expected since it is made by Top Secret.

$350 for hood dampers!!! Wow somebody is making a killing on those. Does UTHarvester still sell his? I paid $60 for them and they hold the hood very high up also with minimal cutting....
