hey guys

1) Do u think 800 is a good price to paint and install an aerosync bumper, nismo side skirts, nismo rear (also mold them to my rear bumper)? and
2) I was wondering wat u guys used to mold the rear skirts to the rear bumper?

they will use bondo to mold the rear to your current bumper.

yeah they will mold it to the rear bumper you have now with bondo... i agree with that..
but if its a stock bumper i wouldnt recomment it.
generally there is a bigger risk of cracking since the urethane will flex more....

Thats not a bad price. Pretty fair, But if they use bondo slap them. If ur dead set to mold it there is a 2 part urethane that is applied in a caulk gun device. Its a pain to sand so u have to be handy with caulk guns to avoid extra work.

What Iv done is make dam sure that the lip or whatever can be FIRMLY attached and when both pieces are painted, attach and (There again u have to have a little talent) run a bead of PERMATEX !!!!!! clear silicon at the joint. Its barely visible and easy to remove if u need to.
Bondo is too brittle on urethane and will crack.

No big deal with the rear but many times on the front u have to drop the lip so ur alignment guy can shoot past it. Be a ***** if u had to remove the whole front bumper !!

Iv found in years past if u dicker the price down too low u get what u pay for and little room for arguement if they fluk up. Doesnt mean u have to set urself up to get screwed. Talk to FEW people ( Too many and u just end up in a hen fight ) find out what local prices are and bite the bullit.

Personally if Im selling a product or a service and I get someone thats getting greedy, I raise the price. Basically saying ---Ok ,, I was fair, now ur wastin my time, Better get it now while the gettins good.

To mold it in they should use a good adhesive on the back of the add on. Then use "kitty hair" to fill in the seam on the bumper cover and add on.

Kitty Hair would prob work with a small amount of Glazing Compound to smooth it

I'd sand the kitty hair with 35, then a skim of light weight filler. Sand that with 80 grit. Then a small amount of glaze followed by some 180 and primer.

Thanks guys, the reason I'm going to this shop and I'm willing to pay them is that my mom had 2 different bmw's that were hit and they fixed them to perfection both times, so i figured they would be worth the pay when I got the car back and the paint and work was perfect!!
