I painted my emblems black with simple gloss black from pep boys. The can I used had a special flat spay tip to make a smooth coat on it. I let it dry and then added a clear coat to it. Make sure you use the clear coat afterwards other wise the paint will chip. Before you paint anuthing though clean it thoroughly and use 400grit sand paper on it to ensure the paint sticks. However I don't know about the door handles though.

Cheap spray can paint will ultimately flake and look worse. Get it done right the first time. You won't be disappointed.
