pricewise, I got lucky lol but realistically, I think used VDC kits go for $1000, correct me if I'm mistaken
Yep, I paid $900 for mine, used. I've seen 'em new for around $1200. The VDC kit is a great quality kit, I just wish they'd come up with a way to keep that door down...

Are things really more expensive down under once you do the currency conversion?

Given the current conversion rate, $75K Canadian is equivalent to $66,542 American. That's pretty expensive for a car that sells for under $40K in the states. But you're paying nasty taxes, right? Is that included in the $75K?

Interesting thread. I am about to purchase Aerotrends lambo door kit. I am not sure yet if it is LSD or VDC kit. I was told it is a matter of 6 bolts to install. But, reading above, it seems that i will have to cut my fender??? Correct me if I am wrong. I have a few volunteers, from my club, to help install. Should I just schedule an appt. at a shop? If so, does anyone know a reliable installer in Tampa area?

Thanks! A few of my members made comments it wouldn't look good with a Nismo body kit but maybe they didn't realize I was planning on painting a good portion of it. I love it as well!

Every kit I've seen requires modification of the fender, including the VDC kit. Cutting or rolling of the strength rib at the rear of the fender is required to give the hinge proper lateral clearance for outward swing.

Do you know of any kit specifically that *doesn't* require this?

it's a pain in the *** sometimes, there is a certain way you have to open the doors or else you can screw up your fender, or your wiring or worse, your door panel. It took me 10 minutes to get the hang of it and I still have trouble doing it from the inside. Thank god they can be opened horizontally

Ask Sly, he knows Mike and can probably tell you or find out for you.
