Default S2000 Antenna, Help a brother out.

I have searched this forum for the S2000 antenna to replace the stock and found some good info. I know a guy at the Chicago meet last weekend had one and it looked very good. For all of you who have done this mod., let me know what you think ( i.e. any noticeable sound quality difference). Also, I went to my local Honda dealer and they wanted $139.95 for the antenna!!!! Is this link below the same one, or am I missing something, $15 seems a little more reasonable, to say the least.

Thanks in advance,

Neil

That's the one ($15.98). I bought & installed it. Radio sounds as normal as with the previous antenna.

I used this one from PMPdesigns, it looks just like the original just shorter.

I got the s2000 antenna from that site too... its cheaper than the IS300 JDM antenna on ebay($40).. radio reception seems the same..but i listen to CDs most of the time.. and looks better too IMO

The IS300 one is more flush at the base, while the S2000 one has a little overhang.

Thumbs up shorty antenna

I have had the s2000 for three months now. In Mesquite, a town around 100 miles from Vegas, I can pick up a Vegas station, although it fades in and out. With the standard Z antenna, all I get is static.

Get one!

I got the shorty IS300 one for free in exchange for some pics of it installed. I love it. I wouldnt have paind 40 bucks for one though. Any shorty antenna with a screw in base will work for the car but this one fits almost perfect and looks very stock. It is also much less flexible than the stock one which i like, makes the entire car seem more stable......

140 bux! are you sure you just asked for the antenna and not the whole assembly? my local honda guy said it was 29.99, which is about right for stock. That website is the cheapest i've found anywhere.
IMO I like the s2000 one more, the is300 one looks kinda too thin, and shiny. I didn't want my antenna to be shiny, want it to disappear

The S2000 antenna is the way to go. Thanks for all the input and pics, it really helped. I never realized how long the stock antenna is, until some of these side by sides.
