Folding center section of OEM rear bumper (single exhaust)
There are two little plastic tabs that hold the center part of the bumper to little brackets. Just undo them and bend the bumper to where you want it, then use self-tapping screws to screw those tabs to the aluminum bumper core to hold it in the new location.
seems that the supports that are molded into the plastic bumper are kina flimsy, not sure theyll hold once the bumpers bent up, i have an 03, and connected to the bumper are 2 flimsy *** straps that i can rip off with little effort, is urs the same?
Yep, mine is the same. I don't have my bumper folded, but had to do some adjustment with these at one point as that center section was hanging a little uneven for me. The straps aren't much, but they should do the job (this is how others are doing it); the bumper is pretty flexible. If they ever fail, you can simply fab new straps and screw them directly to the bumper.
well,im done....the center i said was sagging isnt a problem, u can only notice it when ur layin under the car....and the bumper straps seem like theyll hold ok...
what i did was flip the brackets that are attached to the support bumper up side down, and put zip ties through the top hole on the support bracket, and the hole on the rubber bumper brackets, then just tightened until the perfect height is reached.....10 minute job max....and if u dont like it, undo it an ur back to stock.
after staring at it or a minute i do like it, and best of all its free....it shows off the injen exh. nicely, looks more racy and damn mean from behind.

Here's mine. Just got done. I need to screw with it a little more since the center sags some. No room at all with the Nismo exhaust. All I did was take the black clips out run wire ties through the existing holes form the clips and turn the white plastic piece upside down. worked ok.

classic6: Your car looks hot, have you tried taking the splash guards off? For one they just collect debris and scratch your bumper and 2 try taking them off and look how much meaner your rear bumpers lines wil look.

thanks for the compliment. yeah the car actually came without the splash guards. I boughtthem from the site just to see how they would look and i thik it make the rear look wider. They should be on that much longer cause I am going to have the nismo rear molded on. I just had the front done and absolutely love it. heres a pic of the front:

If you dont want noise get the borla true dual. Its stealth and the performance gains are good.
Everyone whos on the fence, get off the computer, get two zip ties, and a screw driver, and get out there and do it. Seriously takes 5 minutes and you can put it right back to stock if you dont like it. Take my word its easy.
