Default Shaved door handles. do it.

In my opinion....., unlike most z owners, painting the door handles just isnt enough. I would really love to shave them off. but, I realize that those vertical door handles are placed right on the edge of the door. No custom auto shop would want to go near them, its too hard to recreate the edge of the door, and at the same time have smooth door lines on the panel. has anyone seen a good shave job on a Z? if so, do you have pics?

-thanks, C.P.T

You shouldn't have any problems getting a shop to shave them. Anybody that can do good body work can do this. Also is your user id your last name? If so nice name.

Yeah i've seen those door handles on Overhaulin' w/Chip Foose, he put them on that dodge magnum, I'm not a big fan of the shaved look on all cars, but i do think they would look good on a Z, especially a black Z. as for refrence on this forum, there is not too much on shaved door handles. i guess not many have done it.

FYI, you can't powdercoat stock door handles. I believe they are plastic... baking isn't good for plastic.
