^ hold on, let me elaborate, because i dont want to crush your spirit. first of all what i meant was if you want neons, thats ok i guess. but don't use tubes. trash those tubes! get you some nice led's and a switch. small led's are very easy to hide, and glow much better than neon tubes. the wires shouldnt be too hard for you too hide either, no need to take the dash apart. just combine all the led's into one wire and find a good ground(-). plus led's last much much longer that neon tubes.

I downloaded it and I'm pretty sure it's the right manual. Why don't you think it will work? It's just the console...

I remember did my friend's '05 center consol when he wanted put CF ones..
Now I tried my '06 to fix broken cupholder and this damn thing is
completely different than previous models. I ended up took it to the dealer...they said the 'whole' thing has to come off and it
takes some quite a bit of time..

Relax dude, i got you. but the dealer is correct, the entire console comes out.

head over to www.metraonline.com , search for their dashkit for an 06' 350z and youll get 1 hit. Click the link that says 'installation manual' for that dash kit and voila! youll have the 06 dash dissasembly instructions.

OR click here , =)

doesnt look too complicated, especially if you DONT have oem Navi system.

Im getting my Z on wednesday, and ive already got the kit and headunit, avh-p6800dvd, to go into it, so if you like ill post some pics of my install on wednesday/thursday when i do it over in the electronics section.

hope this helps everyone.

Go here... I just posted this question for my 06.. It's 99% the same.. the only difference is when you take off the rubber pad in your cubby, on each corner there will be little black covers hiding the screws, pop those off and continue on
