Default Can I take this off?

I was vacuuming the Z today and I noticed theres about a 3" square bracket on the back of my accelerator pedal that keeps the pedal from going to the floor. Is this bracket stock and is it restricting my Z from its full potential? Or am I just being over-zealous?

I've read stock pedal only opens up 85% of throttle. Maybe this block is the reason.

Negative.

The throttle position is determined by the ECU... Remeber .. or cars throttle is drive by wire.

As for the original poster... I would not remove this... it wont make a diference in the performance of your Z... other than possibly break it.

I'm gonna take it off and break the sound barrier... I don't think I wanna be the one to test out this theory but wouldn't mind someone else who can afford to break **** and pay to fix it and then give us the details... Any takers?
