I have a 2005 Black 350Z that I have to drive on the highway occasionally and I want to protect the front end, hood and mirrors from rock chips, bugs and etc. Does anyone have any opinions / knowledge regarding what is the best option to protect the car's finish????

go for the clear bra

 

A fabric cover means black vinyl right.

When you wash the car, what do you do with the vinyl cover?
When it rains, how do you dry the vinyl cover?
What happens if sand or dirt gets under the vinyl cover?

 

clear bra all the way, did the complete package, no regrets.

 

Go for the clear bra, had mine done Dec.2002 and still looks great. Well worth the money and peace of mind while driving.

 

also think of the color difference due to the sun, after a couple of years of using the black nylon bra.. You'd have to get it repainted or never take the bra off..

And in my experience a bra never taken off is a bra not worth having!

Vinyl bra is '60s technology. Most exotic cars, if not all, install clear bras. Do you ever see the black vinyl bras on Porsches, BMWs, Lambos, Ferraris, etc.?
