They'll most likely try to repair the existing panel if it's not too bad, b/c the rear quarters are welded on. Replacement of one is a much more involved job than, say, a front fender.

Ok.

Yeah, I was rear ended pretty good the day I bought my Z and it buckled the right rear quarter some, but they were able to straighten it out perfectly.

That looks almost exactly like mine. Said they are going to replace the panel because if not it wouldn't look bad but it would never be the same.

Although since your is just around the wheel well they should be able to just bang it back out. Mine was creased right as you pass the wheel towards the door so it was a little more complicated

Yeah, they might want to replace that one. They could straighten it out, but they'd need to bondo it as well to make it smooth.

Get their opinion first, then make the call.

Depending on cost, and how well it will look I'd say replace it. Plus if you sell it and someone asks about the damage it will look a lot better if it was replaced vs just being fixed. Not because its anymore stable or anything, just the fact that most people will feel better knowing none of the cars parts have ever been damaged

Well, your QP is going to cost roughly $400 for just the part.

Where it's going to hurt is the labor to have the old one removed & the new one fitted, prepped, & painted.

GL!

If it was my car... I would want it replaced. Even if that meant taking what insurance was gonna cover and they paying the rest -- if the insurance was just gonna pay to bang out the dent.
