DAMN SUV DRIVERS!!!! Crash!!
so 2 nights ago it rained like hell and im on my way home from a friends house...im doin about 48mph in the middle lane just to play it safe...its was like 1:30 so it was pretty dead out...as i look in my side mirror i see bright lights flying towards me so i start to head over to the right lane...before i can though he hits a monster puddle coveres my winsheild and gives me a love tap beacuse the idiot hydro planed ...as i look in the rearview to see what happend hes facing the wrong way on the highway...im going to need a new left rear panel...does any1 know how much these go for on the 06's...i guess i have and exuse to get my doorhandles and my mirror plastics painted...i was just wondering if any 1 knew how much this panel costs ...im going to post pics when i get home from work...thanx guys
P.s-My fender is almost touching the tire...cand i bend it back up where it belongs for now?

They'll most likely try to repair the existing panel if it's not too bad, b/c the rear quarters are welded on. Replacement of one is a much more involved job than, say, a front fender.

Depending on cost, and how well it will look I'd say replace it. Plus if you sell it and someone asks about the damage it will look a lot better if it was replaced vs just being fixed. Not because its anymore stable or anything, just the fact that most people will feel better knowing none of the cars parts have ever been damaged

If it was my car... I would want it replaced. Even if that meant taking what insurance was gonna cover and they paying the rest -- if the insurance was just gonna pay to bang out the dent.
