Default Modifying front bumper.

I have a dilema. I'm torn between getting an Aerosync front bumper or just simply modify my front bumper to look like an aerosync. After close examination of the front bumper, there are three plastic cross beams. I was thinking about cutting the top and bottom piece and leave the middle piece to look like the aerosync, then have the bodyshop paint the entire bumper with my Greddy lip. Has anyone midified ther stock front bumper before? any pics?? Any inputs would be appreciated. In addition, the cost of the aerosync plus paint and install would be a bit more than modifying the front bumper.
