Car cover: yay or nay?

I am going to buy a cover also, wonder if the Nismo wing will fit under OEM cover, I just got a Siebon hood with vents in it so rain will be my enemy now so it will go on when parked...

yea i've got the nismo wing and it fits tightly, but it fits. oh, but i've also got a kaminari front lip. so if you don't have a front lip it probably won't be as tight as mine.

Figure on $200 for the OEM cover. The cover lasts for about 5 years: thats about $3.33/month to protect the car. At the end of a 9 hour workday, you come outside and the car is free of bird droppings and dust. A light rain and the car is as clean as when you covered it.

I have never used it and never will because I know it will put swirl marks in the paint blowing in the wind and I would have to put it on and take it off way too much everyday, which would add even more swirl marks. Plus you will get condensation between the cover and paint that will attract grim which is like sand paper when it flops around in the wind.
For me I'm much better off just keeping the paint clean and waxed. A cover would have nothing but drawbacks, at least for me.

Protecting the car vs potential damage from a cover: the cover wins hands down.
Condensation: the OEM cover is water resistant not waterproof. It breathes. In the morning, the dew that collects black dust is on the cover not the car.

No garage here and no extreme weather in SoCal but I'm near the coast so the salt air is pretty corrosive so I cover my baby with a Stillen cover. I have to remove the antenna before covering though. No biggy. It has grommets in the middle for a cable lock too.

Is this the same "Noah" cover sold by other retailers for more $$$? The Nissan cover seems much lighter and could blow away or beat the surface on a windy day.
Does this retailer sell these off the shelf or made to order? Trying to get one very soon.
