That's the direction I'm going. Either way man, it's your car so make it look like YOU want it to. Who cares what other people think. But I do have to give you crap.

Acree, have you ever switched the light in a headunit? I have an Alpine ( blue & green display) and I was wondering if this could be switched?

Ok, ok, ok....it appears that some of my esteemed Z brethren are not fans of my blacked euro taillights. Any styling suggestions for me on taillights?

P.S. Keep in mind, I'm planning on doing a custom metallic black/metallic white paint job next year that will incorporate black taillights. However, suggestions are welcome concerning what style of lights to use.

And concerning the neons: Has anyone installed a on/off switch in a location that they recommend?

Preach on!!!!!!!!!! I agree... Trust me NaNa....... whatever your name is. Keep your car looking how you want. If listened to everyone else. I would have bought a Supercharged POS Saturn...... Stick with what you like and what you want. And life will be that much sweeter.... Sorry about the name thing but I can't remember the whole thing at the moment.

As far as domelights go, I can not personally recommend any kind of premade LED bulb as all the ones I have bought in the past, burnt out. That's why I just made my own.

For brand of neon tube, I'm not sure if they are "top of the line" or anything, but "Redline" products always did well for me and were very bright.

It's definitely possible. It's just an issue of getting to the leds. I wouldn't trust myself trying to disassemble any headunit except for stock.

Hey Acree how much would it set me back if I wanted to purchase some dome lights made by ya?
I have some from autollumination, which are known for burning out, and thats why I don't have them operating when the doors are opened and only use them when I need to. I'd like to have them operate normally.
And would you happen to know what bulb type is for the trunk light?

The wires for the dome light run down the driver side A-pillar. Good luck!

so just to clarify, if you wire the lights to the dome light wires in the drivers side a pillar...itll function like the dome light? turns on when doors open....turns on when you switch it on/off in the dome light?

Kind of. It will function with the dome lights when you take the key out of the ignition, unlock the car, open the door etc. They will NOT turn on when you push the dome light in. Also, if you turn the switch on the dome light to "Off" instead of "Door," they will STILL come on.

so other than pushing the dome lights in, or turning the dome lights to "off", the neons will be on whenever the dome lights are on? so like they wont be on while driving?

i can see the point of having the footwell light up with the door opening but what are you trying to look at as u get in the z?? i have never found myself looking at the pedals when i get in or out. just a suggestion or opinion.
i can see making the interior lighting happen as a car locator helper in a busy parking lot, or simply for beautifying cool aestetics for the interior.

Simply to provide more lighting. There are numerous times were I have dropped things and I need light at my feet to see.

Hey Acree! So you don't like my tail-lights?! haha I've had fleeting thoughts of switching them out with some blacked out 06 led taillights. However, I'm saving up for a custom paint job and think my current lights might work well with it...we'll see. Thanks for the compliments!!
if you mod everything the way everyone suggests you will wind up with there car. do you want there car or your car. personally, i get what I like and I have never asked anyones opinion about my tastes as usually my tastes are diminished by my pocketbook. with unlimited money, most of us could pick out the sweetest and best of everything without even knowing much about the product. the key is getting what you like for the money you have and then wanting what you got, not worrying about getting what you can't afford. p.s. I like your lights--if you want to dump them b/c of others advice, I will take them off your hands.
