I just got one on the driver's door, right where the curve of the door is for everyone to see, anyone know a good paintless dent remover in the NJ area?

GOD FORBID IF ANYONE EVER DINGED MY DOOR WHILE I WAS THERE.....I'd park my car on their ***.

Some people do not deserve to drive, glad you caught her and hopefully changes her way of opening the door. God knows how many dings she made on other cars all her life.

Price seems WAY TO HIGH, the dent just needs pulled out and there are chemicals you can buy to get her paint off of your car, dilute some goof off and you will be fine just make sure to polish......cmon bra 620 bucks for a ding lol

She broke my paint. So the door has to be resprayed. I'm not payin' for it. I took it to a professional body shop and this was the quote. She is writing me a check on Friday for the damage + money for 3 day car rental, she didn't want to have a mark on her insurance.

Careless people these days, even when the owner of the car is sitting inside the vehicle, they just swing their doors open.

The part that was a trip was she just didn't care that she hit my door. Only once she say I was in the car, did she try to move her door. She just let her door fly and let it rest on my door.
Oh well...as long as she takes car of the damage.

Today I just happen to be walking through the parking lot at work and decided to count the number of cars with dings that park close to the entrance (about 40 cars)
Results:
~ 9 out of 10 had dings.
~ about half the cars were less than a few years old.
~ 1 in 10 were less than a year old.
~ most of the SUV's had different paint on the door edge (dingers)
~ those that parked real close to the entrance had more/larger dings and usually had differing paint on the edge of the drivers door (dingers)

Basically the people that park near the entrance could care less about their car let alone yours! They'll drive it until it doesn't go and leave it where it dies.
BINGO.

I always park as far away as possible. Many times I just leave the thing in the garage and drive my SUV - to which I've installed sliders. Sliders look like step rails except these things are made of solid pipe and are designed to protect the SUV. Open your door up against one of these and you're going to lose.

You have no idea how lucky you were to have been in your car when it happened, I mean, what are the odds???

Collect the money from her but don't go to a body shop to get it repaired. I had a dent similar to yours and I went to a shop that specializes in "Paintless Dent Repair." The shop works on high end import cars like Porsches, BMWs, etc. Anyway, the repair guy fixed the dent in five minutes and did a little touchup paint. I couldn't spot the dent afterwards. Cost me $50. He showed me some pictures of actual body damage from other cars and they look like they've never been damaged after he fixed it.

Again, find a shop that specializes in "Paintless Dent Repair" and you'll be glad you did.

Ok if she works near you, you need to be careful. She may pay now but watch out sometimes people will stike revenge in the ways of a KEY...

if your going through insurance,,,, dont cheap out...your not paying. have a bodyshop do it. they will pull it out then smooth it out 100% with a bit of putty, and repaint the door.
