Default Dont yell at me!

Ok im waiting for my NISMO V2 spoiler to come and when i go to get it painted i want to do some othr things to the car while its in the shop.

#1 - Paint the spoiler the same color as the car BUT paint the bar across black.
#2 - Paint the roof of the car(just the center part) Black
#3 - Paint the slits on the hood black.
#4 - Send off my NISMO wheels and get them in Black Chrome
#5 - Change my NISMO Stickers from red/white/Silver to Red/Black/White

if you are really confused i have a HORRIBLE PAINTSHOP PRO pic i did of my car! But i was wondering what everyone thinks of this idea and maybe if someone could do a decent photoshop of it and what it would look like?!

Thanks

better view of the roof

and one of the back for people with any ideas

PLEASE DONT MAKE FUN I KNOW I SUCK AT PAINTSHOP!!

Wing- yes
decal change- yes
hood- NO
roof- NO
wheels- NO

go for the spoiler and the way you want it painted, swap the decals, leave the hood and roof alone and powdercoat the wheels black, but leave the lips. Then take the money you'll save on paint and put it toward the rest of the Nismo body kit (the wing will look silly by itself) and two-tone it red/black. THAT'll be really clean. What you propose.. not so much. The roof is too large a panel to just do black without doing the whole upper part of the car two-tone and the black slits on the hood clash aethetically with the hood decal; just too much going on there. Black chrome??? come on, now.

No to almost all of them.. Are you trying to rice out your car?

Why don't you spnd the money on buying the nismo front and paiting it instead of making it look extremely tacky? Sell those lambo doors too..

You realize that chroming the rims (black or otherwise) will add alot of weight to those nice, lightweight LMGT4s, right?

seems like you want to go with a very unique and hardcore-ish presentation. If you're going to do all that, you'll need a bodykit and BBK to pull that off.

I can give you some ideas if you need them.

im always up for ideas!!

as far as the rims go...i bought them with the car i dont really care if it adds weight! Weight is not an issue to me!

The hood/roof is a no go and the Wing is the V2 from the group buy.

i really appreciate all the responses! it has definetly helped in my decision making! but keep them coming! NEW ideas welcome!

mc350Z used an excellent example. If I had a red Z and wanted to go the route you're going with, I'd do exactly that...plus blacked out headlights, black side mirrors and mirror bases, black door handles, and black tinted taillights/turn signals. I wouldn't mind the black roof as well...with all the windows tinted to 20% or less.

With 2 strong colors/shades it wouldn't be a bad idea to tie everything in with a bit of graphics a la Nismo, even though I'm an anti-graphics type of guy. Cut some slits into your hood or get a fiberglass vented hood, paint the actual hood red and the vent mesh black.

FYI - Black chrome coating is a powder coat, not actual "chrome". While it will add a little weight, it will be nowhere near as heavy as chrome. I think it would look ugly on those LMGT-4's, but it could still be done. I'd personally just leave them as they are or go gloss black and put some replacement nismo stickers to make them look like the real black ones.

The nismo v2 wing is 10x nicer than the v1 wing. It's not that much bigger really, but flows better with the lines of the car.

Don't waste money painting anything already on the car. Spend that on a V1 or V2 body kit. No 2-tone black unless you've got a V2 kit and are going with the RS concept look.

Also, in my opinion going with a nismo theme is all about having a clean factory-like look that accentuates the stock lines of the Z. Doing anything over the top kills the theme.
