Thumbs up 2-Tone Leather Installed!!!

Just installed moments ago, my 2-Tone preforated-leather! (KATZKIN ~ Black & Puddy w/ contrasting stitching) I went with the color 'Puddy' due to it's remarkable color likeness to the interior roof lining. The contrast & match are excellent! The feel and smell, yes SMELL are excellent! Gives the interior a "whole new feel". The little tags you see on the side are indeed the "Side Airbags".
I would like to thank James with Attention To Detail (who is offering my350Z members discounts).
The "Saga Continues..."

TX, do you have side airbags? I do. Do you know if you can get these kits w/ side air? I know Katzskin does offer them with other cars...

Looks pretty nice with a squint, but I just do not like aftermarket leather. I've yet to see an aftermarket leather install that looks as good as factory leather (not that it doesn't exist). There are always little bulges, and bunching of the leather, and the lines don't quite maintain their factory shape. They're always a little off (the bunching seems pretty minimal on your install though). I don't mean to put your install down TX, I like the 2-tone look a lot, just the little bulges, and off lines bother me. (but even the bulges on your install are not too bad either). but yours is definitely one of the better installs I've seen.

I have never even seen a Japanese car with good leather. Seems like only the Germans know the secret.

actually I use to agree with that, until my dad got a E36 M3 about 5 years back and I got this Z, my Z has much better looking leather than his BMW, since that time I have noticed that BMW leather seems to look much cheaper (thinner, bunches up, creases, etc....) more than MB, Porsche, and even audi, VW and my Z.

Thanks for the compliments guys! The "fit & finish" are actually better than I expected! And of course, no aftermarket install will have that "tightness" of stock. BUT! Did you guys know that aftermarket leathers such as this Katzkin are much nicer than fatory? Meaning softer, more durable, more cushiony! I learnes this years ago on another custom leather install. Don't believe me...? Get with someone who has stock and A M leathers and compare em'.

mcclaskz: Side airbags are not a problem! That's what the little tags are. And yes, Katzkin FULLY warranties their product from defects including airbag deployment.

raceboy: I have to totally disagree! As you may know I had a Lexus GS400 and family members have a LS430 and LX470 and the leather is ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!!

WebToker: I'm in Plano.

Not that you didn't know this already but american cars have the cheapest junk leather made. About every year I go to the Chicago auto show and you can tell who has the good leather. You have to figure that 7 days at the auto show is about the same wear and tear as most cars see in a lifetime. All the GM cars leather looked like the seats were 30 years old. The Lexus and Range Rover leather stuck out as the best to hold up. Even the Z looked pretty good.

I don't understand what the "little tags" have to do with the side airbags. Can you explain? Will the airbags still deploy property with the custom leather? Thanks.

OF COORSE THEY WILL! I would not have even considered this upgrade/Mod if it impairs my safety. The tags just say/indicate, "SIDE AIRBAGS".

EnthuZ: It's like I said earlier.......Oil, Dirt, Grime, Sh**, Water, or anything else that could mess up my carpets.
