Do you know if the smaller size light you have will fit in the light back in the hatch? I would like to replace that one also.

Just got my dome lights installed. They are NICE! Here are a few pics:

Here's what comes in the package: just about everything you need to mount them in any fixture large enough to house them.

Here's one hooked up:

The driver's side one will pop right in with no problems. I had to lightly modify the passenger side light and housing as seen in the pic below for it to drop in enough to retain the map light switch function (not the shaved corners and shaved housing area at the right shaved corner). If you're going to do this, you need to be very careful not to damage the printed wiring of the board.

Here's a shot comparing the LED light to stock:

As a sidenote, my only concern about these is that the dome light fades (dims) to off 30 sec after you exit the car (or immediately upon locking the car with the fob). LEDs typically don't take well to varying voltage, such as dimming, so we'll have to see how these hold up.

Aw, man! I should have asked Santa for one of these, too! I was about to ask if there was one that would fit back there; the wedge LED bulb I have in there now is pathetic.

I agree with you on the fading part, I guess the trick is upon exit is lock it immediately.

Yeah, maybe; I don't recall if it still fades off when you lock it or not.

something like that probably doesn't have anything regulating the voltage

so it should still fade.. after the voltage drops below a certain point, the led will just turn off.

it'll be fine

No one ever seemed to address this question, which is a very important one to many of us.

To those who have these installed, do they fit tightly on both sides? Is there a way (or need) to use 3M tape or something to hold them steady?

I think my 06 z roadster (european model) has different sizes...
Dunno but they seem to be smaller than the pics in here...
Also the switch and the frame are different, the're black not gray...

for JDMZ33: something that fits my Z? Without cutting, shaving, modifying at all... Price? I don't expect any discount as I'm in Italy...

By the way, i got some of the new Luxeon K2 leds... 6watts each led... Yesss, SIX watts each one, but careful:
the light they produce is cool (u won't feel heat, no IR frequencies), and astonishing, but they actually came to me mounted on a 3x3 cm aluminium plate, which, after less than 5mins, becomes really really hot (no way to touch it) .
I bought them for some interior lighting ideas, but actually no way to use them, i think they will blow plastics...

Mmm... And no AT available... Just level 1 and level 2 available... No mp3 radio... Windows don't go up and down with key fob... And it costs 47000euros (more or less 64k dollars)...
Daaamn...

And (the cherry on the cake) gas is 1,65dollars/liter... Standard 95 octanes gas...

However... Know something about the size? Is mine/roadster's smaller?
Thank you

Do you know how thick, the length and the width of this LED panel? thx a lot
