Then you really need a HANS device to be completely safe on impact, and to wear that, you need a helmet. Then there is the issue of rolling over. If you have seats and harnesses, you will greatly increase your risk of death in a rollover. So now you need a roll bar. Once you have the rollbar, now that becomes a threat to you unless you have good padding and again, a helmet.
So unless you plan on buying a roll bar, seats, harnesses, and plan on driving around town with a helmet and HANS device on, you will never be safer than the OEM belts and an airbag.

otherwise I'd be all over all the racing stuff as well for driving on the street
you can get a roll bar that sits behind your seat so your head wouldn't hit it though
but there's still the issue of if your body is strapped down to the seat with a harness that doesn't let you move, your neck is going to take ALL of the forward momentum since your body can no longer lunge forward and spreading the force down your entire back down to your waist. HANS device is the only real safe way to solve that.
To my knowledge, it isn't against the law to drive around with a full race setup wearing a helmet though - you'd just look a little weird doing it though

I understand the negative aspects of having no airbag and probably should comply. But I cant help loving the look and feel of a semi race suede wheel with a smaller diameter. But yes my car is a DD and Track Occational so i must really think if its worth it. I ran a aftermarket wheel on my Integra(previous car) as well and didnt really concider the danger. Grrrr

But it goes something like this:
Disconnect battery
Remove two screws on bottom of factory wheel hub (they will be hidden under plastic caps)
Remove airbag
Remove factory wheel nut
Remove factory wheel
Install new hub
reinstall nut
wire anything needed (horn, airbag delete etc)
Install new wheel to hub
Done.
