Default my girlfriend bought me something

a spoiler! I was shocked... she ordered one for me from that guy who sells the stock reproductions on ebay. It showed up today via UPS. I came home and saw a box by the front door.

It came painted and the match was very close. His spoiler mounting holes are not the same as Nissan's so it made installation a bit challenging but all in all it went well.

I now can say I have the Aero package... all I was lacking was the spoiler.

Dude, you know you now owe her a big nite out! So is this one the Nismo knock-off or the dealer installed short spoiler?

sorry... it was dark when I finished installation last night.

the spoiler is the small stock one. It's a reproduction and not the official Nissan one. Fitment was excellent. Only problem was the studs were in the wrong spot so finding out where the holes go was a *****. Plus the two inner holes are exactly where some inner supports are in between the outer sheetmetal and inner sheetmetal. I had to carefully cut a hole in the supports to allow a socket to go through. I don't think I affected the integrity of the support too much.

color match is almost perfect. The spoiler has a bit more of a metallic look, but the shade of blue is right on.

IMO this wing is a good alternative to the Nissan one if you wanna save money, but the Nissan one would be an easier installation.

pics....

Looks great, DJ! What a great gift. I also ordered my Z without the aero package rear wing and, having seen a couple now (and even one on a brickyard), beginning to feel my Z needs that little extra something on the back.

Maybe your girlfriend will have one shipped to my house! C'mon... you should have the address from the DVD shipment, right?

Guess I'll be deciding soon... was waiting on convertible pricing so I can decide whether to order one of those or the Nismo body kit instead... one more month... man, this tax return is just burning a hole in my pocket.

Dan!

I'm interested, but cannot PM you. Email me at mcduck@earthlink.net

You can email you number or I can send you mine so we can discuss it by phone.

Is this a new set of spoilers that you've decided against using? Or are you upgrading and taking them off your Z?
