Ok so im getting allot of mixed reactions. mostly leaning towards the negative side which i expected.

The vents pretty much have no purpose except looks.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...cf_black_8.jpg

I was going to get a set of Carbon Fiber M3 vents, shave the Z emblem and then put my nitrous purge right behind each vent on each side and purge my nitrous out the vents..

My guess is that allot of the negative reaction comes from the fact that the pics are on a silver car and the vents look like *** on silver, but if the car was darker id bet more people would like the look of them.

Another reason i think people dont like them is that they reminisce about the days of old where they would see nasty *** civics driving around with the z3 wanna be fenders and puke at the sight of them, hence now if u put a vent on the Z they think its rice.

Im not sure.. ill have to think about it some more.

It's all about execution with the overall car. For instance if the entire car is stock and just has the vents it looks retarded, but if planned out correctly like what you are doing...it is possible that it can be pulled off. Best thing to do is photoshop it and get an idea

Sorry, but any time you try to make your car intentionaly look like another car with no purpose but to be a poseur, then yeah, I'd call it rice.

If you're going to put on some fender vents then at least do something original.

This reminds me of that "Aston Martin" front grill for the Z that we've all seen and looks horrible (although the vents are more tasteful than that bumper).

Do you see where this is going?

On a side note: Not feeling that hood.
take it from someone with a JDM spec Z, the side fender indicators can get awefully hot and may need cooling on the track

japanese people have pretty weird tastes in general. Like the DAMD Black X metal kits for the Z and G to make it look like an Aston...or that Maclaren SLR wannabe Z.

While I think the hood's a little busy, I think it's probably functional and I like the angled fins for it.

I really like them. As long as you aren't going to put a bmw badge in place of your nissan then I think its alright!

First of all it clashes with the Z's styling, second of all it screams identity crisis, but that is just my opinion, I think vents could be done right just they would not look like that.

Please tell me you guys aren't serious...

Why not just get F430 intakes and attach them to your hood?

Ok heres my thing vents done the right way to accent the car would look good. but all of the haters think right off the bat "M" or "z4" vents. You can have many differnet designs for vents on the Z fenders. Let B see what he can come up with before everyone compares a Z to a civic

If he would have said vents instead of M whatever I dont think everyone would be saying RICE RICE. . . . so that Amuse Z is RICE ?
