Default Still having problems with trunk

I removed the butterfly-shaped weight, and added 0.03 on each side. No change. I have to pop it once, pull up, and then pop it again before I can open it.

Any other suggestions? I have a veilside (I think, came with the car) wing.

Also, the supports aren't strong enough to hold it up either. I checked with Autozone and O'Reilly, they don't have generic ones that will fit. Any other ideas? I'd really like to avoid spending $250 on the dealer ones, but if I have to.. well I'll think about it.

Would the springs available through the TSB make any difference?

Check this thread on strut solutions:

As for popping the hatch, the three pennys weren't doing it for me, either, so I cut some sections of a thick washer and wedged between the coils of the springs (one on each side) to add more tension to them when compressed. That, in addition to the pennys did the trick for me.

Well the guys at Performance Nissan think that the Nismo shocks still won't be strong enough to hold it up. And if I buy them to try it, I can't return them. So I guess I will either be removing the spoiler (probably not) or carrying a stick in my car (GHETTO).
